REQUEST FOR BIDS – 2027 EMS Vehicle

Tofte Township is requesting bids for a new 2027 Ford F350 4×4 EMS Truck with a gas engine and automatic transmission for its rescue squad.  Full specifications for the customized EMS vehicle are available below or may be obtained by emailing clerk@toftemn.gov

SNOW REMOVAL ON GITCHI-GAMI BIKE TRAIL 2026-2027 

Tofte Township is now accepting written quotes for snow removal from November 1, 2026 to April 15, 2027 on the Gitchi-Gami Bike Trail in Tofte, Minnesota from the Surfside Resort to the Cliff Dweller Hotel. 

The quote should be based on a per time snow removal for a 4” snowfall, using the snow on the ground at the Tofte Post Office as the official snow depth. 

The snow should be cleared a minimum width of 5 feet or 60 inches, not the entire width of the trail, and must be done within 48 hours of the snow event.  Provided must carry a minimum liability insurance policy of not less than $1,000,000, as well as workers compensation insurances as required by law.  Proof of insurance must accompany the quote.

Items must be received by Monday, October 5, 2026 to receive consideration.  Quotes will be opened and reviewed at the October 8th, 2026 Tofte Township Board meeting.

The quote should be based on a per time snow removal for a 4” snowfall, using the snow on the ground at the Tofte Post Office as the official snow depth.  

The snow on parking lots should be fully cleared away and must be done within 48 hours of the snow event for the Tofte Town Hall, and preferably by the next business day for the Birch Grove Community Center.  Provided must carry a minimum liability insurance policy of not less than $1,000,000, as well as workers compensation insurances as required by law.  Proof of insurance must accompany the quote.
